Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc (HZL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bhopal-based VEXL Environ Projects for setting up a pilot project for converting waste products into usable resources. The pact aligns with HZL's waste management strategy of reducing, recycling, reusing and reclaiming.
The company will establish a pilot plant which will pioneer sustainable solutions through waste utilisation. This collaboration underscores the company's commitment to a circular economy, and focuses on utilising waste products like jarosite and jarofix, generated during zinc extraction, for productive applications at pilot plant.
This innovative partnership allows for unlocking the true value and transforming into valuable resources for a greener tomorrow. VEXL Environ Projects, with engineering capabilities to undertake and execute turnkey solutions in the realm of water treatment and recycling technology.
